How it works
from bid invitation to proposal in seven stepsEvery job moves left to right through the steps across the top of its screens. Each step ends with a button that records your name, and nothing is priced until a person has accepted it. Watch the two-minute walkthrough, then use the steps below as a checklist.
- 1
Intake
Check what the tool read off the bid invitation and the plan set.
- Check the job facts: GC, address, bid due date, wage basis, construction type, job walk.
- Fix anything wrong by typing over it. It saves as you type. A blank means the documents did not say, so fill it in.
- No invitation on file? Press Upload bid invitation and the facts are read from it.
Done when: The facts are right. They carry into every later step.
- 2
Bid / No-Bid
Decide whether RRE bids this job.
- Answer every question. Service zone and bid period are worked out for you; change them if they are wrong.
- A bid period under two weeks is flagged. Email GC drafts the request for more time.
- Put in your name and the leadership approver, then press Bid or Record no bid.
Done when: A decision is recorded with your name. It shows at the top of every later screen.
- 3

- Check the bid source (PlanHub, BuildingConnected, or write it in).
- Press Email the GC about this job: one email with every missing document and unsent RFI. Untick anything to leave out, or email one item from its row.

Done when: Readiness is confirmed with your name.

- Press Save & next to sign the sheet off and open the next one. Changed your mind? Reopen the sheet.
Done when: Every sheet is saved and no questions are open. The Takeoff opens.

Send the bid in RRE’s format.
- Press Edit proposal and fill in every field in pink: the tool did not guess these.
- Check the responsibility matrix: pink rows are the ones it is unsure of.

- When you hear back, record Won or Lost and the winning price.
Done when: The proposal is sent. Recording the outcome closes the job.
