Derived from what the read produced, so none of it can drift from the data behind it. A blocker stops a price being presented as complete; it never stops you looking. These definitions are this build’s own — no RRE document specifies them yet.
| Check | Status | What the check found |
|---|---|---|
| Sheet scale | pass | All 1 plan sheet(s) carry a scale, so measurement is available. The other 8 read sheet(s) are specifications, schedules and details — nothing is measured on them, so a scale on one is not needed and a scale missing from one is not a gap. |
| Sheets read for scope | warning | 24 sheet(s) were indexed but not read for scope: A000, AS02, A002, A002.1, A002.2, A002.3, D101, D103, D104, D105, D106, A103, A104, A203, A212, A304, M3.0, M5.0, S101, S201, ST0, 001-rocklinelectric.net-Mail---Fwd_-INVITATION-TO-BID---Intimissimi---Roseville-CA-p1, 001-rocklinelectric.net-Mail---Fwd_-INVITATION-TO-BID---Intimissimi---Roseville-CA-p2, 001-rocklinelectric.net-Mail---Fwd_-INVITATION-TO-BID---Intimissimi---Roseville-CA-p3. Looked at by the takeoff and not read: no electrical work on it. Read them, or state the omission on the proposal — the basis of the offer already prints it. |
| Symbol source | warning | No symbol library was found on the drawings, and no engineering firm was identified from the title blocks, so there is no conventions file to fall back on either. This set is read against the default library alone: NECA 100-2006. It is the firm's baseline for what a symbol MEANS where a legend is silent, ambiguous or absent, and it is also the checklist of which symbol categories a plan of this kind ought to show. A line named from the baseline rather than from a legend is named by convention, not by the set. It is reported as 'named from NECA 100, confirm' and carries a semantic-risk flag — a misread convention is a 3× error that no percentage band expresses. Confirm a sample of the named groups on the drawing. Nothing is blocked by this — a default library reads most sets correctly — but a name taken from one is an assumption, and the proposal states it as such. |
| Symbols named | pass | All 364 marks belong to a named group. |
| Every line prices | pass | Every line points at an assembly. |
| Plan and schedule agree | pass | No line has a plan/schedule disagreement. |
| Lines accepted by a person | pass | All 102 eligible line(s) accepted. |
| Engineer conventions known | pass | No engineer-dependent lines. |
| Unsure flags resolved | pass | The model raised no open flags. |
| Cover sheet read | pass | A cover sheet was found and read; its notes parameterise every later pass. |
What the symbol names rest on. No symbol library was found on the drawings, so these names come from NECA 100-2006 rather than from this engineer’s own legend. Confirming a sample on the drawing is worth more here than anywhere else, and each correction is recorded as evidence for the next job.
Edition: 2025 California Electrical Code, because in force for permits from 2026-01-01, as of the bid date 2026-09-29. City and county amendments are the AHJ’s: check them on any job inside a city that amends the code. “To check” means the code requires it and the drawings do not show it: send an RFI, or make the call. Nothing here is added to the bid on its own.

E2.0 keyed note 4 'PROVIDE CURRENT LIMITING PANEL FOR TRACK LIGHTING CIRCUITS'; schedule: switch a L-5 4A GENERAL, d L-9 6A WALL, tc L-3 2A SHOW WINDOW. E6.0 NRCC Table G checks 'ii Current Limiter'. (Model line id L-0024.) The model also raised 'house default: controls hardware vendor quote - confirm who furnishes the limiter panel', which the contract has no flag for; recorded here rather than dropped.
E4.1 Panel L 3/15 EDH-1; (3)#12 + #12G per E3.0 kn 13. (Model line id L-0026.)
1 'BE' tag in BOH (the 'EM' under it is its battery sub-label, not a separate EM unit); A102 agrees. (Model line id L-0036.)
1 'N' tag at storefront side of sales area. (Model line id L-0037.)
1 'EX' tag at BOH door (keyed note 1). (Model line id L-0038.)
'S' with keyed note 5 at storefront entry. STEP 4.5: E4.0 counts the same storefront 0-2 hr override (L-0092, struck as duplicate); carried once here. (Model line id L-0045.)
'S' with keyed note 6 by Panels L/H in BOH. (Model line id L-0046.)
One receptacle at VAV-1/EDH-1 tagged L-23 with keyed note 15: 'PROVIDE GFCI DUPLEX RECEPTACLE FOR HVAC EQUIPMENT'. GFCI carried at the device. (Model line id L-0053.)
One J-box at the storefront, tagged L-1, +145" AFF, keyed note 16. (Model line id L-0056.)
'J' symbol at VAV-1 above ceiling, L-35. (Model line id L-0059.)
EDH-1 is hard-wired equipment (job facts); connection carried at the unit beside its disconnect. (Model line id L-0061.)
Keyed note 14 at the VAV-1/EDH-1 group: 'PROVIDE LED VAPORTIGHT LIGHT FIXTURE FOR MAINTENANCE'. Not in the fixture schedule; circuit not tagged (assume L-23). (Model line id L-0062.) The model also raised 'fixture not scheduled -- type/wattage to confirm', which the contract has no flag for; recorded here rather than dropped.
Keyed note 14: 'PROVIDE LOCAL CONTROL SWITCH AT ACCESS ENTRY'; no switch symbol drawn, location field-set. (Model line id L-0063.)
One WAP symbol with keyed note 7 in the sales area beside the cash desk. (Model line id L-0067.)
Filled dot with keyed note 8 inside the cash desk island. (Model line id L-0071.) The model also raised 'size and length not given; trench scope to confirm', which the contract has no flag for; recorded here rather than dropped.
E4.0 Switchbank Detail draws BOH 'e' at +42" AFF with a slide; Lighting Control Diagram labels it 'OCCUPANCY SENSOR SWITCH e' feeding L-11 BOH LIGHTS. Same device the E2.0 plan draws; keep one. Striking it removes the BOH sensor switch. STEP 4.5: E2.0 counted the same switchbank devices (L-0043/L-0044) as plain/OS switches; E4.0's lighting-control schedule names them dimmers, so they are carried once, here. (Model line id L-0087.) The model also raised 'possible_duplicate_with_E2.0', which the contract has no flag for; recorded here rather than dropped.
Switchbank Detail draws a, b, c ganged in one bank at +48" AFF: one 3-gang box. Striking it removes the box; the dimmers stay. (Model line id L-0088.)
Switchbank Detail draws 'd' (sales wall display) and 'e' (BOH) side by side in one bank at +42" AFF: one 2-gang box. If field puts d and e on different sides of the BOH door (they serve different rooms) this becomes two 1-gang boxes -- confirm on E2.0. (Model line id L-0089.) The model also raised 'confirm_ganging', which the contract has no flag for; recorded here rather than dropped.
TC1 is hard-wired control gear (job-facts.md 'Hard-wired equipment'); no J-box symbol is drawn on the diagram, so one J-box and connection is carried at it (hardwired_equipment_jbox). The controlled circuits' conductors through TC1 are in the E2.0/E3.0 branch runs. (Model line id L-0091.)
E5.0 Distribution Panels 3.12: 'SURFACE-MOUNTED PANELS SHALL BE MOUNTED ON A 3/4" PLYWOOD BACKBOARD.' Job facts: Panel H and Panel L are surface NEMA 1 in BOH side by side with TC1 and the current-limiting panel; one 4x8 sheet assumed. (Model line id L-0100.)
E5.0 Scope 5.1h 'TESTING OF ALL CABLES AND CIRCUIT WIRING AFTER INSTALLATION'; Panelboards 2.9 'AT COMPLETION OF JOB, ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL TAKE CURRENT READING CHECK...'. Commissioning is the owner's (spec basic materials; E2.0 h), so no acceptance/commissioning lot. (Model line id L-0102.)
AS01 Turnover Requirements item 5: 'THE CONTRACTOR SHALL SET ALL TIME CLOCKS, THERMOSTATS ETC. PER THE OWNERS REPRESENTATIVE AND PROVIDING COPIES OF OPERATION, MAINTENANCE OR A WARRANTY MANUAL.' The only time clock in the set is TC1 (E2.0/E4.0, job facts), installed by the EC; programming its schedule (sign L-1, storefront L-3, L-5/7/9 lighting, L-13/15/17/21 receptacles) falls to the EC. Quantity 1 = TC1. Labor only - the clock itself is carried from the E sheets. (Model line id L-0110.) The model also raised 'labor-only', 'dedupe: TC1 device is an E-sheet line; this is the set-up/programming only', which the contract has no flag for; recorded here rather than dropped.
AS01 Punch List item 5: 'ELECTRICAL: ALL SYSTEMS IN OPERATING CONDITION, COMPLETE WITH TRIM; ALL LIGHT FIXTURES OPERABLE WITH LAMPS AND LENSES, MAINTENANCE DATA.' and Turnover item 5 (copies of operation, maintenance and warranty manuals). Falls on the EC for Div 26 work. Commissioning itself is the owner's (E2.0 h), not carried. (Model line id L-0111.) The model also raised 'labor-only', which the contract has no flag for; recorded here rather than dropped.
Added by kelchlin from a suggestion: RRE priced this on 3 of 3 past jobs (100%). RRE’s last retail job and last restaurant job carried these items at identical quantities -- a fixed allowance, not a count (33.4 hr, $732). Recommended: RRE-HOUSE-KIT, once per job.
Added by kelchlin from a suggestion: RRE priced this on 3 of 4 past jobs (75%). RRE carried these at exactly these quantities on its two larger jobs (22.0 hr, $150), and about an eighth of them, with no backboard, on its smallest. Recommended: RRE-HOUSE-KIT-LOOSE on a job of restaurant or larger-retail size; leave it off a small fit-out.
